CAMEntrepreneurs
Creating a global community network
Ongoing
CAMentrepreneurs is a global network of investors, students, and business leaders who work together to support enterprise.
CAMentrepreneurs is a network of Cambridge Alumni and fellow travellers, supporting entrepreneurship by providing a structure that allows members to share their experiences, knowledge and networks.
Started in Edinburgh in 2016, it quickly expanded to London and New York. Working as a community organisation - wherein members could create and grow new nodes around the world, a way of uniting the chapters was needed.
By 2022, the organisation had over 2000 alumni and industry members, 500+ startups, and 9 chapters worldwide.
The Task
Understand the vision and the needs of the organisation. Create a website, and refresh the brand to reflect the network’s present image and goals.
Create a system to display chapter information and updates - in a manner that can be managed independently by chapter leaders.
Coach the chapter leaders on the importance of a strong digital presence, and help to improve communication between various chapters.
The Solution
Having conducted various workshops with chapter leaders to understand their goals and desires - using desire mapping, user profiling, and product visualisation - a franchise solution was developed.
Working in Squarespace, each chapter would get its own site page, whilst the rest of the site would be used for the promotion of the organisation - allowing a potential user to learn about the org, before being directed to localised information. A social media network was integrated into the site.
The branding uses Cambridge-approved society colours, with a commanding, “investor-friendly” tone, so as to act as a digital business card.
